My favorite plant oil for my skin care routine: JOJOBA OIL
JOJOBA (binomial name: Simmondsia chinensis) is a shrub which native to the Sonoran and Moraje deserts of Arizona and California.
"It was the Native Americans who discovered the importance and versatility of jojoba. During the early eighteenth century Jesuit missionaries in Baja observed them heating jojoba seeds to soften them. They then used pestle and mortar to create a salve or buttery substance. The latter was applied to the skin and hair to heal and condition.
The name "jojoba" originated with the O'odham people of the Sonoran desert in the southwestern United States , who treated burns with an antioxidant salve made from a paste of the jojoba nut."

Jojoba is yellow, odorless and stable which makes it an ideal carrier oil in cosmetics skin care products. It is also similar to human sebum.
First I use Jojoba oil to remove my eye make-up, as it removes quickly and effectively any mascaras, eye shadows and eye liners without leaving any heavy greasy residue on my eye lids.
Then I use it as a light face and body moisturizer, when I want to give my skin a rest from creams or lotions.
If needed, I massage my scalp with a few drops of jojoba if it feels itchy but it happens rarely since I've been using green shampoos.
You can as well use jojoba oil in your hair as a moisturizing treatment.
My brand of choice at the moment is DESERT ESSENCE
