Homemade honey citrus syrups to prevent and alleviate coughs and sorethroat

Whenever I get a sore throat or a cold I drink lots of hot water or tea with raw honey and fresh lemon.
This drink is well known and used by many.
Raw honey has been used for centuries to improve poor digestion, oral health, sore throat, cough, allergies, burns, wounds, scars and rashes.
I only eat unfiltered raw honey because it's rich in vitamins, minerals, enzymes (see my post where i talk about enzymes)  and antioxidants. It stills contains honeycomb, pollen and propolis.

A few weeks ago I found recipes of natural honey citrus syrups for coughs and sore throats and decided to make some for myself right away because it's cold outside, very cold.. Of course I had all the ingredients at hand so I made a lemon ginger honey syrup and a tangerine cardamon honey syrup.

The syrups are easy to make.
To make ginger lemon honey, I layered thin lemon slices, raw honey and ginger powder in a mason jar.
To make tangerine cardamon honey, I layered thin slices of tangerines, raw honey and cardamon powder in a mason jar.
I keep the jars in the fridge.
I either mix a teaspoon full of syrup in a hot cup of tea of water or just eat a full teaspoon of syrup and let it melt in the mouth.
